I wanted to buy this cute hoodie but it’s about 10 sizes too small. (80cm around the shoulders. Really??) So I figured I could just make one myself? Can’t be that hard! This will be my first autumn project.
My first proper Etsy listing! I’m a little bit nervous, please be gentle!

Comments and suggestions are always welcome!
The first item in my Etsy shop, that opened today. I hope someone will find it cute. I think the style would appeal to both mori girls and those interested in dolly kei?
I wanted to sew my own gákti, but the only shop I know that sells the right fabric was closed for the summer when we passed it. I mentioned this to my father’s cousin, and she said “oh, you can have mine.”
It’s the Utsjoki style dress, and she made it when she went to school in Karasjok in the 60s. Now I only need a belt, a scarf, and footwear. Some jewellery would be nice too, but it’ll take some time to save up the money needed for that.
So I read the little discussion over here about how people over 20 years of age shouldn’t wear Mori because the clothes are not made for them. I just have to say that’s utterly ridiculous. Where I come from, the style is pretty much only worn by people aged 50 and up. Very few fashion concious 20-year-olds without any kind of knowledge about Asian fashion would wear anything like this. Honestly.
Just wear what you want to wear regardless of how old you are, it’s okay.
(No, that’s not me on the photo.)
I made a dangly phone thingy for a friend. Do these things have names anyway, besides dangly phone thingy? Anyways. The bottle is 1.8cm tall, and contains a little lacy thing I crocheted with sewing thread.
